Hi and welcome to Abso.Healthy.Lutely!
My name is Katja and I live in Melbourne (Australia) but my roots are from Slovenia, a beautiful country in the middle of Europe.
I’m currently studying to become a certified holistic health coach at The Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
I have many passions and interests in life but food would most certainly be my number one. I love anything to do with food – talking about it, thinking about it, shopping for food, creating new recipes and of course eating it! But not just any kind of food. I’m talking about whole, nutritious, unprocessed food. The real deal. I truly believe that what we put into our body pays off and if we want to feel and look great we need to invest in ourselves from the inside firstly.
On my blog I will feature original recipes that I’ve created and share them with you. When I cook I don’t usually follow the recipe 100%, I may substitute an ingredient (or two) that I don’t have at home or don’t like with something else. I like to make things up as I go and just be creative, relaxed and have fun!
Abso.Healthy.Lutely is a blog about a healthy and good living. I understand that eating healthy, natural and organic at all times can be difficult and expensive but I will show you how making small changes will help hugely.
The rule I go by is to make the best possible choice from what is available every time I shop for food, eat out or cook at home. Choose the best option for your body, state of mind and budget and you’re already be taking a step in to the right direction.
Besides wellbeing my other passions are coffee, travelling, style and trends. I love walking in the city, sitting in a cozy cafe, sipping a good coffee and reading a newspaper or just observing people. To me this is one of the biggest joys in my life.
I have an eye for beautiful things which inspire me hugely and give me the energy to be better so I will occasionally share all these things on my blog as well.
Every now and then I will post a photo of a croissant and a café latte or something else a little bit naughty.
Even though I’m an advocate for a healthy living I do believe that being too strict with ourselves isn’t very healthy and we need to allow ourselves an occasional treat – guilt free. I try to follow the 90/10 rule (90% good, wholesome food and 10% treats, cravings and coffee!). Balance is very important and life is meant to be enjoyable.
Thank you for visiting my blog. I really hope you like it and please let me know if you have any questions.
I would love to hear from you all.
